Accidents happen and Toyota wants to help drivers be prepared if they’re ever in a worst-case scenario. This is why the Toyota app now offers Collision Assistance for existing and new Toyota owners. Collision Assistance empowers drivers with information to make decisions after a vulnerable and stressful situation.
Collision Assistance features step-by-step instructions for drivers after a collision helping ground them in their reality and address their needs. This includes an emergency checklist and tips for documenting the damage. The app also helps drivers determine how they’d like to process claims for damages and provides transparency throughout the claim process. It can connect drivers with auto insurers in addition to local repair facilities and can schedule servicing.
Toyota worked with CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. to develop the Collision Assistance technology. The app seamlessly sends accident and vehicle information to CCC to provide drivers the information they need in the moments it matters most. Per Steve Basra, Toyota North America, Connected Technologies group vice president: “Safety for our customers is paramount. The minutes following an accident can be critical — drivers are often confused and uncertain about what to do. By incorporating Collision Assistance into our owner app, we can offer help when it is needed.”
