The bestselling car of all times is getting even better. For the 2023 model year, the Corolla is getting four new hybrid trims, a more powerful hybrid system, available all-wheel drive, and next-generation safety and infotainment technologies. Here’s what new for the 2023 Toyota Corolla lineup.
Gas engine enhancement
The gas-powered Corolla LE, the most popular trim, is now powered by a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter engine, up from the 139-horsepower 1.8-liter of previous years. Despite that power boost, it also gets nearly two miles per gallon more. Best of both worlds.
Hybrid all-wheel drive
The Corolla Hybrid is now available across a wider range of trim levels and is also more powerful than before. Redesigned parts and a new battery have led to greater responsiveness and more trunk cargo capacity. And it’s the only compact hybrid passenger car available with AWD.
Next-gen technologies
The 2023 Corolla lineup features Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0 as standard equipment, the automaker’s next-gen suite of driver assistance technologies. And it gets Toyota’s latest 8-inch multimedia touch-screen system with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity.
